Geppetto's puppet

P/Pinocchio is the playable character and primary protagonist. He is an advanced Puppet created by Geppetto with the unique ability to tell lies and absorb Ergo.

Background

Pino was created by Geppetto after the death of his son Carlo. Geppetto was separated from the body due to being attacked by the Mad Donkey, Pino was left in a train car at Krat Central Station until awakened by Sophia.

Story

P is in a train car in Krat Central Station when he is woken by Sophia, who tells him to head to Hotel Krat. After picking up Monad's Lamp and a weapon, he fights his way through the station.

Endings

Real Boy: When Geppetto asks P to give up his heart, P complies, collapsing as Geppetto removes it and emplaces it Carlo's body. This resurrects Carlo, who then massacres the survivors in Hotel Krat on Geppetto's orders. Geppetto replaces the survivors with puppet versions of them to act as Carlo's servants. Geppetto then departs, leaving Carlo with a letter revealing Geppetto will stabilize and rebuild Krat for Carlo, and for Carlo to remain in the hotel.

Free From the Puppet String: P refuses to give Geppetto his heart when asked. A disappointed Geppetto then opens up a case and brings out the Nameless Puppet in order to take P's heart by force. While fighting the Nameless Puppet, P loses his balance and falls to the floor. The Nameless Puppet then attempts to impale him but Geppetto steps in and takes the hit. Geppetto angrily asks the Nameless Puppet if he was going to destroy P's heart. P takes advantage of the distraction and destroys the Nameless Puppet. Geppetto dies in P's arm while cursing him as a useless puppet. P returns to Hotel Krat where the survivors thank him for saving them and stopping the Alchemists.

Rise of P: Plays identically to Free From the Puppet String until the Nameless Puppet is defeated. While dying Geppetto notices that P is crying for him, causing Geppetto to apologize to him before succumbing to his injury. P then wanders the Alchemist's base until he comes across a blue haired female puppet. He transfers Sophia's ergo into it, resurrecting her though he passes out shortly after. After awakening P returns to Hotel Krat where the survivors thank him and Sophia leaves the Blue Butterfly's Letter on Geppetto's desk for him.

Trivia

• Despite being referred to as P or Pinocchio by Neowiz staff and in promotional material, he is never called this in-game. Descriptions and dialogue refer to it as Geppetto's puppet, clever one, or the boy.
